Cavo is located in the northern part of the Island of Elba, 4 km from Rio Marina on the slopes of Monte Grosso. It is the closest point to Piombino and the Tuscan coast, reachable in 30 minutes by ferry or 15 by hydrofoil.

It is a small tourist center, very quiet, even in summer, and equipped with all services: pharmacy, supermarket, church, shops, petrol pump, soccer field, ferry ticket office, weekly market.

Along the promenade you can reach the port and the beaches in a few minutes.

On summer evenings, the center of Cavo and the seafront come alive with many musical, gastronomic events and games for children. Several clubs and kiosks overlook the promenade and the marina.
